We didn't see the Devastator

Player 3 keeps referring to Darth Vader as "Star Wars", and I've stopped correcting him. Tonight, we were outside looking through a telescope trying to view the harvest moon, and he asked if we could see Star Wars's ship. And I said, "Let's look, buddy."

Thinner by winter

The weeks after losing a significant amount of fat, you get the feeling of both having performed and having watched a magic trick. An ongoing amazement that feels like repeatedly finding $20 in an old pocket... because you are trying on clothes that you haven't work in a while because they didn't fit.

I don't have any before and after pics. I had no idea that a hardcore low-carb diet would be this effective this quickly. But about two months into it, I've lost 20 pounds and the change continues to lightly startle me.

When I started in July, I'd figured I'd be done by the end of the year. I didn't even make it to fall. Now, as The Tick said, "to retain it!"
