An open letter to winter

Dear Winter,

It might be cold for a while longer, but I am through with my heavy jacket for a few months.

And tomorrow, I'll be warm, and you'll still be a season of death, personified.

Sincerely,
Jeff

Or, as our 4 year-old said this morning:

"Today is the first day of spring. It's the first day of warm." (It was in the mid-50s, but no one had the heart to disabuse her of the notion.)

I'm with her.

After this winter, mid-50s FEELS warm. When I lived in the South, I did not have an appreciation for the difference between "hatefully cold" and "chilly" like I have now.
